In 1998, Charlie Hong Kong was opened on a bustling street corner in Santa Cruz, CA. The vision: to create a neighborhood eatery with a menu that offers healthy, abundant, tasty food, at great value, served fast. The intention; to create high quality food, to eat at the restaurant or take away. A bright green awning covering the outdoor patio, provides family style dining.
The menu reflects meals eaten at street stands in Southeast Asia, though don’t expect the food to be authentic. Charlie Hong Kong is a unique fusion, inspired by the rich savory flavors of Southeast Asia, combined with an abundance of locally grown organic produce. Offering a vegan based menu, as well as proteins, for those who enjoy fish, chicken, and meat. The food is prepared fresh and fast for active, busy people who care about what they eat.
